Tracy Abigale Ballack

Our President, Tracy Abigale Ballack started Abby Supply, Inc. in October 2008.

A native of the Caribbean, republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

She moved to the USA at age 19. Her father, Dennis Ballack, an exceptional general contractor/architect, whom she grew up working alongside, and assisted in his business arrangements. The family’s business handled all carpentry work for both residential and commercial industries. This experience schooled her from a young age about tools and inventory for construction supply and building. It had also taught her the importance of customer service and the basics of running a company .

Education

Because of her ambition and drive for success, she realized she needed additional educational credentials (after earning a C.X.C. degree in Arima, Trinidad).

She attended Malcolm X College in Chicago; and furthered her studies at the prestigious Michigan State University, where she graduated with honors with a BA in Communications.

National Reporting and Interviewing

She used her skills and training as a television and radio journalist and interviewer when she worked for ABC News as a correspondent/journalist intern, both in Washington, DC, and at Superbowl 2006. She has interviewed such nationally -known individuals as then-Senator Barack Obama, Senator Pete Domenici and numerous professional athletes and entertainers. She combines her reporting and interviewing skills with in-depth knowledge of the federal legislative process, which was gained representing ABC News at committee meetings on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Mrs. Ballack have also researched topics for headline news stories, created questions for interviewers, sourced and cultivated background contacts, produced and edited comprehensive reports for daily news broadcasts, and written and posted news stories on major network news website including the local news in Lansing Michigan.

Competitive Intelligence

The President also earned additional business experience as a competitive intelligence analyst. This experience enriched her business background through analyzing market trends to obtain inside knowledge and insight to enable businesses to make better decisions regarding their competitors in the marketplace. The focus involved several critical areas such as business and client development, writing and creating marketing material, construction industry issues, pharmaceutical and financial market trends, and conducting competitive intelligence research to determine how to maximize opportunities and enhance ROI (return on investment).

These broad assignment areas fit well with her wide-ranging, multicultural education and construction and communications background. In consulting specialized in both qualitative and quantitative research, and she also received commendations for her writing capabilities on project deliverables as well as client management skills.

MBE/WBE Company

Mrs. Ballack obtained a job that drew on her previous experience and growing expertise: an MBE/WBE company where she handled all work involving bid preparation, networking events, where she met the Presidents of certifying agencies, and build outstanding relationships with many people in the Chicago Government .maintenance of MBE/WBE status. She also arranged meetings with the government about contracting opportunities etc. This experience enabled her to expand her expertise in the construction field and enhance her experience with the business aspects of managing an MBE/WBE company. This opportunity brought her back to her first professional passion. After basically handling most duties of this company, she was convinced that she could start her own MBE/WBE business, which is a successful commercial construction supply company – Abby Supply, Inc.
